Vase-Handles of various patterns. Bronze.

i. Crater-Handle. Diameter, 2^ inches. Length of holding-plate, 334 inches. Found
in a tomb at Dali.

Handle describes full semi-circle. Holding-plate originally fastened with three rivets, still
in place.

2. Vase-Handle. Holding-plate 2yAxil/2 inches. Diameter, staple, % inch; ring, 2^
inches. Found in a tomb at Dali.

Belonged to a large and heavy vase ; back of plate slightly concave. Staple formed of heavy
wire, split and spread on back. Ring not entirely closed.

3. Rim of Bowl, with Handle. Diameter, 12^ inches. Found in a tomb at Dali.

The original bowl was shallow. Rim fitted below edge of same, by rivets, five of which
remain. The handle of heavy wire passes through two staples which are brazed to the edge of
the rim.

4. Vase-Handle. Spread, \7/$ inch. Plates about 1^ inch in diameter. Found in a
tomb at Dali.

Handles extended above edge of vase. Holding plates were each fastened by three rivets,
the heads of which are inside.

5. Vase-Handle. Length, 2^4 inches. Length of spool, 1 ^ inch. Found in a tomb
at Dali.

Ends of the handle are drawn down and thrust into spool, which apparently was brazed to
edge of vase. Collection contains three examples.

6. Vase-Handle. Spread, 3 inches. Plates, 1 yA inch in diameter. Found at Curium in a
tomb.

Similar to No. 4, but plates are attached together by a bar of metal.
