Mirrors. Samples of round mirrors without handles. Nos. i and 3 show an interruption
in the line of holes about the edge, an indication of the point where the handle was attached. The
collection contains fifty-one examples of handle-less mirrors similar to those here shown. (See
also Plate LXI). The usual decoration of these mirrors was a series of concentric circles, similar
to those found in the Dali vases. These examples were found at Dali in tombs.

1. Mirror. Bronze. Brown and deep green. Diameter, 434 inches. Perforated border
and concentric rings.

2. Mirror (back). Bronze. Shades of green. Diameter, 4 inches. Decorated with
concentric bands and rings. Edge raised and square.

3. Mirror (face). Bronze. Green and brown. Diameter, 53^ inches. Surface corroded.
Perforated border.

4. Mirror (back). Bronze. Brown and light green. Diameter, 51;>i6 inches; height of
rim, y inch.

Face is slightly convex; plain. Interior shows concentric rings. Outside of rim is convex,
with line ornaments.
