Glass objects found in Greek tombs at Dali (Idalium); no lamps were found with them.

i. Bottle. Purple glass. Height 3 inches. Diameter 21n; inches.

Bottle or flask with flat body. Shown two-thirds of true size.

2. Lamp-filler (?). Height 27/% inches. Length 3xMe inches. Diameter, mouth, ii/A

Large body and neck; flat mouth; point perforated at extremity. The collection contains
twelve specimens, nearly all quite perfect.

3. Bottle. Purple glass. Height 2lA inches. Diameter \l/A inch.
One side crushed in while in molten state.

4. Bottle. Height 3^4 inches. Diameter 1 i/A inch.

Flat bottom; flaring sides with concave panels; domed top; symmetrical neck with flaring
mouth.

5. Bottle. Height 234 inches. Diameter 1 l/ inch.
Ovoid body; short neck and small, bevelled mouth.

6. Bowl. Height 1 inch. Diameter 2l/g inches.
Flat bottom ; conical sides ; ridge about edge.

7. Bowl and Egg-shell. Height 1% inch. Diameter 2% inches.

Small distinct base with projecting edge ; rounded body with round rim at edge. Inside is
the empty shell of an egg, which was found in the vase shown as No. 1 of Plate LXXVII.

8. "Candle-stick." Height 2l/2 inches. Diameter 2l/g inches.
Low, heavy base; thick stem; flaring and flat mouth.

9. "Candle-stick." Glass. Bright green. Height 35/ig inches. Diameter, base, 1 / inch.
Heavy material. Conical base; cylindrical stem; flaring mouth.

10. "Candle-stick." Height 3 inches. Diameter (base) 2l/A inches, (top) 2l/g inches.
