The box is conical, with an ornamented disk fastened to top for cover. Bottom is gone.

10. " Amphora cover " ? Ivory. Diameter i3^ inch. Found at Amathus.

Decorated with a rosette of sixteen petals,with double circle at centre, and three circles at

Decorated with a twelve-pointed rosette or wheel pattern, with radiating lines, and with
quadrant just inside the four circular bands at edge. A circular projection behind fitted the mouth
of the amphora. See plate CXV, No. 5.

12. " Amphora cover " ? Ivory. Diameter \i/^ to 1% inches. Found at Amathus.

Eight-pointed rosette or wheel, with circles and rope border about same. The collection
contains twenty examples of similar covers.
