throat, just above the chest; l/A inch high; made while the clay was soft; very sharp and distinct.

3. On a hematite seal cylinder, found in the temple treasure of Curium. Characters %2
to 3/ie inch high, in a curved line. The reading is difficult: either
fa. ka. na. e. ro. ti. or
we. ko. na. e. i'o. ti. or
ta. xe. na. e. ro. ti.
These readings are from right to left, which would be left to right in an impression. No
rendering yet suggested seems satisfactory. A proper name is the likeliest supposition. See Plate
CXVIII, No. 4.
