St. Felix of Cantalice; S. Agostino, where he studied Theo-

an ecstasy; S. Giovanni dei Fiorentini, where he established

prayed with ecstatic fervour and tears ; St. Mary Major, where
he said his first Mass ; S. Maria in Monserrato, where he taught
catechism ; Ponte Sisto, where he saw the soul of Father John
Codurius ascend to Heaven ; S. Pietro in Montorio, where he
made a retreat before accepting the office of General; St. Paul’s,
where he and his companions made their solemn Profession ;
