Lintels Amon] . . . Puyemre . . . against thine enemies (and they) are de-

stroyed. ..." The texts of the middle lintel run both ways from the
center, the middle line of the three giving a hotpedens formula, the upper
and lower lines taking the form imlhy hr . . . Pwimrc'. This arrange-
ment seems to have held good for two stelae at least, but not for F,
which retains parts of its lintels.

steia f and Panei north 0f Stela F (Plate LXIX).1

its panels

"[0 ... ] Puyemre! Gome . . . the meals which those on earth
have served to thee."

Stela F (Plate LXIX. Right side. la). "... I have performed
thy monthly festivals(P) (lb)... thy half-monthly(P) festivals there
... 0 temple-father Puyemre."

(II a) "... if thou desirest to be far from it, let them(P) not com-
pel thee. (II b) . . . thy enemies (?) are the enemies of Horus who
defended his father. (He) . . . Osiris, thou art established in the
kindly West."

(Ilia) ". . . thy limbs; thou art bound as by (III b) . . . ene-
mies (?). Be on the alert (P) between them. (Ill c) . . . [thou strikest
with] thy sceptre, thy baton, and thy forked wand."2

(Left side. II c). "[0] Osiris, second priest of Amon, Puyemre here;
stand thou at the doors of the sanctuary (P) . . ." (Ill b) ". . . the
aliens (?) [prostrate themselves] on their faces, they make obeisance
to thee. . . ."

The formulae on the lintels run:

(la) "Liegeman to the god of his city(P), the temple-father(P)
... (II b) . . . Puyemre. She welcomes thee and protects (?) thee
and gives thee [her two hands] . . . (II c) . . . Puyemre. Thou art with
her, and she expels evil(P)3 . . . within her (itP)."

South panel. Besides titles one only sees "thy enemies."

1 Seven numbered fragments have been added to the stela without very good grounds. The panel to
the left is all reconstruction; but the pieces are identified by the double column, one for each stela.
