m. Intact. Fabric and technique as in the foregoing.
The edge of the base and interior of foot for a distance of
two centimeters show traces of the wheel. Three grooves
on upper surface of rim into each of which is impressed
rope pattern. Two string holes.
7. Stand. PL XXV. M.S.891, H. 0.104 m., D.
0.182 m. Edge of base restored. Fabric and technique
as in the foregoing, with edge of base finished on the
wheel. Good polish. Horizontal rim deeply and ir-
regularly grooved. One string hole.
8. Stand. PL XXV. M.S.892, H. 0.113 m., D.
0.184 m. Base damaged. Fabric and technique as in
the foregoing but the exterior, the interior of the foot for
a distance of 0.05 m. and the upper surface of the rim
covered with a cream slip. Handmade. Over the slip
red bands on the upper surface of the rim, and on the
exterior; inside the foot a red zigzag. The concave por-
tion of the upper surface is polished, and ornamented
toward the rim with eight triangular perforations and

holes.
9. Stand. Pl. XXV. M.S.888, H. 0.098 m., D.
0.18 m. Mended and rim restored. Surface abrasions.
Fabric as in the foregoing but buff at core. Completely

red four horizontal bands and two zones of zigzag; on the
outside of the bowl, sets of three parallel chevrons, moored
together by one or more diagonals. Three zones of zig-

Handmade. Good polish. Two spool handles with
notched edges and two vertical perforations each.
Notched vertical ridges midway between handles.
11. Footed Bowl. Pl. XXV. M.S.886, FI. 0.168
