Anche questa tomba a fossa fu rinvenuta nel terreno del! Arci-
pretura Vocabolo il Sagramento quasi in comunicazione colla
tomba della Donna [= Narce 1].
Era orizzontata da nord a sud e ta testa del morto era rivolta
a nord dove comunicava colla tomba suddetta.
La chiudenda, la riempitura della fossa e la disposizione degli
oggetti, non che la franetura ed altro era del tutto simile alia
tomba suddetta della Donna [Narce 1].
Roma, li 17 Settembre, 1897.
The record photograph like that of Narce I was taken
under the supervision of the American consul, di Castro,
after Frothingham had left Rome, and the contents of
both tombs reached the Museum in a separate and later
shipment.

1. Vase-carrier. PI. XXVI. M.S.2705, H. 0.039

texture, buff at core, outer surface orange red shading
through buff with black patches. Wheel-made except

0.199 m. Intact. Fabric of medium fine texture, red
throughout. Wheel-made. Four slits in base. Rim

between grooves. Two string holes.
10. Footed Bowl. PI. XXVII. M.S.3151, H. 0.217
m., D. 0.213 m. Mended. The bowl proper and the

maroon throughout. Base of foot wheel-made, upper
part of foot handmade then joined to wheel-made bowl.
Polished exterior buff to orange.
