Good copy of this rare edition in quarto of a collection of excerpts of the Decretals.

Fol. Gothic letter, double cols, of 46—49 lines and head-line, 255 unn.
leaves, the last blank, no sign., capitals at the beginning of the three parts are
painted in red and blue, other capitals are supplied in red, rubricated and
underlines. Fine original binding of oak boards, covered with red pigskin, the
front cover richly adorned with stamps: panel, enclosed within a frame of oak-
leaves and ragged staffs inwreathed with foliage and a label bearing the name
„marai<‘, divided by triple fillets into lozenge compartments and adorned with
many different stamps, circular double roses surrounded by ornamental stamps
or acorns, fleur de lys, flower, the holy name and double eagle displayed within
a lozenge. The under side divided into lozenge compartments by fillets is stamped
with circular double roses and flower spray into a lobe. Eight brass pieces in the
earners of both sides, in the centre of the upper side a Supra-Libros engraved
in gold, on front cover original vellum title-label, two clasps with engraved
eatches. Frs. 950.—

Very fine and large copy bound in an exceedingly preserved monastery
binding with beautiful stamps.
In 1. 70 a very small and insignificant hole. Note of ownership on the title. On the
second leaf a small stamp.
