| of Rome, then there follows a rhymed prayer to the Holy Sudarium illustrated
i by a cut. The greater part of the book which was specially dedicated to pil-
grims, is occupied by the indulgences granted by the churches in Rome. They
are accompanied by 7 woodcuts of the saints to whom the churches are con-
secrated. At the end there are the “Stationes”. The title-cut is the same as in
the first item but has been printed from a different block.
Extremely scarce edition of these early “Baedekers” of Rome. Our copy
is very well preserved, considering the fact that most copies have been lost, it
has rather large margins and only few traces of use. On the title-page of the
first book there are some old MS. notes.
