Ignacy Jakubowicz, a chemical engineer, was
the husband of Fryderyka, nee Maszkowska,
daughter of Jan Kanty, a friend of Grottger's.
The hospitable house of the Jakubowicz
family in Munich was the main focus of arti-
stic life of the Polish colony ca. 1860.
