Marian BOGUSZ SK

In the years 1946-1948 he studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the ateliers of Jan
Cybis and Jan Sokolowski. He co-founded the Club of Young Artists and Scholars and the Group
"55"; he was an animator and manager of the Gallery of Modern Art "Krzywe Kolo" in Warsaw.
In 1959 he became an honorary member of the "Ring Bildender Kunstler" in Wuppertal. He
initiated the 1st Plein-Air at Osieki in 1963, co-organized the 1st Biennial of Spatial Forms in
Elblqg in 1965, participated in the Symposium of Spatial Forms at Aalborg in Denmark in 1967
and in the Symposium (and exhibitions) of the "Zlote Grono" in Zielona Gora.
He practised painting, drawing, graphic art and sculpture, and dealt with stage designing. He was
interested in registering an illusory space. He was an animator of artistic events and the creator
of works in the environment style; in the 1970s he co-authored a monumental mosaic decoration
of the housing estate Sloneczne Wzgorze in Dublin.
