He was a publicist, transiator of works on art, author of Nofatki maiarskie. In his oeuvre as a painter
he took up the subject of landscapes, still lifes and portraits, which constituted a pretext for purely
painterly solutions and realized the idea of the painterly determination of the canvas, in which colour
played the fundamental role. He won, a. o., the Award of the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation
(1956).
