Jaworzno 1921
In the years 1944-1955 he studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts (diploma under Hanna
Rudzka-Cybisowa in 1955) and at the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow Polytechnic (diploma
under Wlodzimierz Gruszczynski).
He is a painter fascinated by expressionist abstractionism and the painting of matter; he is also
a drawer, sculptor, ceramist, architect, poet, and art critic.

Jozef Edward DUTKtEWfCZ SK
Cracow 1903 - Olkusz 1968
In the period 1921-1931 he studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts in the ateliers of Jozef
Mehoffer and Felicjan Szczpsny Kowarski, and in the Parisian Branch of the Cracovian Academy
under Jozef Pankiewicz; he also attended art history at the Jagiellonian University. He was
a member of the Association of Polish Plastic Artists "Pryzmat", a co-founder (in 1948) and editor
of the periodical "Ochrona Zabytkow".
He was a painter, art historian and conservator (mainly of murals).
