Radzymin near Warsaw 1943
In the years 1963-1970 he studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts - painting under Eugeniusz
Arct and Eugeniusz Eibisch, and graphic art under Jozef Pakulski; he was connected with the
movement "O poprawp" (diploma in 1970). In 1984 he held a scholarship from the Atelierhaus in
Worpswede. He displayed, a. o., at the exhibitions "Documenta 7" in Kassel in 1982 and the
Paris Biennial in 1985.
He is a painter (producing cycles), drawer, graphic artist, and sculptor, related to the current of
pop-art, a ruthless illustrator of political actualities and the Polish reality, voiced through an ex-
pressive deformation, sometimes referring to the comic-strip style of narration.
