It is well known, that J. J. Rousseau in his youth copied
musical manuscripts in order to earn his living. These copies have
almost completely disappeared and are now extremely rare!

b) “Sängers Morgenlied” (Körner). 2 pages, both pages

(by his own hand).
The first composition, a famous song by the greatest Lied-
composer after a poem by the greatest German poet, offers an unique
association. The second composition remained unedited until it
was published in the complete edition in the works of Schubert
in 1894.
ROBERT SCHUMANN. Autograph musical manu-
script. “12 Romanzen für Frauenchor” (Opus 69
and91), (Twelve romances for choir of women). Folio ii1/^ pages.
The manuscript contains the choir score for 8 of these
romances: the six numbers of opus 69 and nos. 3 and 6 of opus
91. Fürther the manuscript contains the accompaniment for
piano-forte for two of these numbers and besides for nos. 1—2 and
4—5 of opus 91. Some variations from the printed edition.
