language, written in the i8th Century. 167 leaves. Nastaliq charac-
ters. Headings and catchwords in red. Blind stamped brown leather
binding. $ 80.—
The author (died 1556) is known also as: “The Physician of
Kasha” and as “The Healer”.
The manuscript contains a Persian dictio-
nary of medical drugs in alphabethical order.
On the margin many additions. The ms. has been revised by
an Indian who numbered the catchwords and added a list (unfinished)
of illnesses wherein he refers to these numbers.
The manuscript is complete and in very fine condition.
