PEOPLE’S CONFIDENCE IN SRI PRADHAN
Rc Elected Municipal Vice-Chairman
For Third Consequitive Term
. Kalimpong, October 16
Sri Madan Kumar Pradhan has been re-elected to
bo the Vice-Chairman of the Kalimpong Municipality
for the third term to-day.
The election was held at the Municipal office
tliis afternoon with Sri S. N. Roy, S. D. 0 , Kalimpong
& Ex-officio Chairman of the municipality in the chair.
Feverish activities
were afoot in the
town . for the last
few days when it
was announced that
municipal commi-
ssioner Sri Gauri
Shanker Prasad was
contesting for the
v i ce-Chairmanship.
Mr Prasads’ conva-
ssings had made
aevi ral people feel
that he would win
the election but
the whole thing
came to a dramatic
end when Mr. Prasad
could not find even
a proposer for him-
''self and Sri M. K.
Pradhan was dec-
lared elected uii-
i nimously.
Sri M. K. Pradhan
Sri Pradhan was profusely garlanded by many
individuals and societies when he came out • of the
Municipal Hall afur the election. \

myself and my party to
which I belong, by the
wrongful rejection of the
nomination papers are
irreparable.

Bahadur Kl arga who has
been deprived of his seat
in the Assembly. For my
personal sake I would not
certainly go to this length
but the interest of the
party is far above the
interest of an individual.
Hence it was a fight in
the interest of the party.

Treasury Bench in the
West ^Bengal Assembly.
