TIBETAN DOG BITS

A four feet Tibetan dog
weighing more than amd.
created much, alarm in the
local bazar last evening
when it bit nearly twenty
persons in course of

of the most important fes-
tivals observed by the peo-
ple of Sikkini. Three days’
fairs are held all o,; erSikkirn ..
wherever there are'cqnfluen-,
Oesof tworiyers or streams ,
The most important of
them were' at Rangpd,;
UoralhantT; Tribeni (in the
district of Darjeeling) Nava'
Kawir; Sarafnsa, Reslii-
thahg. etc.; The people
- assemble' at thf> confluen-
ces,- take a dip in the river
and worship the river gods
and goddesses, sacrificing
goats, sheep fosvls.j etc.
Performances of Pujahs,
recitation of Puranas and
KiiChas are also done. The
people, of all communities
and religions . pass the
day, in marty-making.
CRAMA IN GORUBATHAN
Gorubathan, Jan. 21
A Drama was staged
by t hf local hoys and girls
at the Gorubathan Catholic
School compound under
the management of Father
P. Ranger. Many villa-
gers and students of the
Adult and Social Educa-
tion Centre, Gorubathan,
were present.
The Social Education
worker Sreo M 11. Dahal
gave a speech regarding
Social Cultural education.
SUNAR RE-ARRESTED
Kalimpong, Jan 21
One Mam Kumar Sunat
who fled from Kalimpong
Sub Jail by. overjumping
the twenty feet high jail
wall has been re-rearrested
at Siligiifi this- morning,
according to the local
police herb.
