According to an infor-
mation received here a
dacoiiy was committed
recently at one Jotedar’s
house very near from here
under Rajganj P. S. of
Jalpaiguri district and
situated on the border of
Pakistan and the owner
of the house was beaten
to death. It is reported
that the party was armed
with lethal weapons and
they took away valu-
able articles worth rupees
several thousands.

It is reliably, learnt that
the- official Chairman of
the Siliguri Municipality
is contemplating to resign
from the chairmanship He
is reported to have already
moved" the higher autho-
rity to this effeot. The
local S.D.O. is the Chair-
man and the reason of
his resignation is said to
be the heavy burden at'
his usual administrative
works.

and as such the patients are
experiencing great trouble.

been equipped properly as
per requirment of;tbe town
which has a population of
over fifty thousand.

A deputation of railway .•
employees Siliguri met Sri
B. Arora, General Manager,
N. K. Railway when he
visited North Station on
Dec. 8. The deputationists
are' reported to have' dis-
cussed with him about the
sanctioning of- Tertfi Allo-
wance, establishing of
Railway. Hospital, High
School and Recreation Club
as well as placed their
other grievances before
him. Sri Arora is'reported
to have tpld them that
T. A. will be given to
employees posted in this
Sub-Tfivision as early as
possible but ha discouraged
the idea of establishing
a Hospital here.
