LICENCE FOR STOCK-

With the decontrol of
rice, the West Bengal
Foodgrains Control Order,
1951 is no longer in force,
and licences issued under
that Order have ceased
to bo valid from July 10,
1954. Dealers, however,
who si-ll, purchase or store
for sale rice in ^quantities
of 15 maunds or more at
a time will be \required
to take out lie noes under
the Central Government's
Foodgrains (Licensing and
Procurement) Order,\1952.
Applications for suchlicen-
ces in the prescribed form,
accompanitd by non-judi-
cial stamp of the value
of Rs.5/-. should be sent
to the officers mentioned
! elcw. who are the autKo
rities for issuing licenses
within their respective
jurisdictions. Licencees
who have paid fees under
the West Bengal Food-
grains Control Order, 1951
for the current year will
be exempted from pay-
ment of fresh fees. The
prescribed form of appli-
cation will be available in
the office of licencing au-
thorities mentioned below.

NURSING
The Government of
West Bengal are awarding
two scholarships to suita-
ble candidates for the B.Sc.
(Hons.) Course in Nursing
at the College of Nursing,
New Delhi. The scholar-
ships tenable fcr 4 years
are valued at Rs. 1,000
for the first year and
Rs 950 for the three subse-
quent years. 1 he State
Government will also
award two other scholar-
ships of the value of Rs.
605 each for training in
combined Nursing Admi-
nistration and Sistpr Tutor
Course of 9J months' dura-
tion in the. College of
Nursinp, New Delhi.
In both cases the
Director of Health Servi-
ces, West Bengal, 'will
select candidates and selec-
ted candidates will be
required to sign an under-
faking to serve the State
Government in suitable
posts after the completion
of their course of study
for a period of not less
than three years,
