EDUCATION IN 6CHOOL

and unimpeachable charac-
ter.

If education be in-
tended for the rich alone,
the country is sure to
be dragged into misery.
The poor should have an
equal opportunity to give
proper education to their
sons and daughters who
are practically debarred
from the facilities in view
of the above facts. Given
proper education many
children of the poor whose
number is legion, would
have shone in company
like a galaxy of glittering
stars on the Indian hori-
zon. Now they lead a life
unoared for and unheard
of. Does it not prosnos-
tioate evil days ahead ?

Wo hope that the
authorities concerned with
the school eduoation will
give their serious consi-
deration over the situation
and remove the bottle-
necks to the spread of
eduoation. Yours etc
Sacbindra Lai Chowdhury,
M.A..B.L., Kurseong.

very good j b in very
difficult and thankless nir-
