BEGGARS IN
It has been noticed
that there has beau a
considerable increase in
the number ot" beggars
and mad people in town.
The new ' arrivals are a
set of professional beg-
gars. In big Cities there
has been drive against
suoh people as such they
have started taking refuge
in small towns At present
they are virtually enjoy-
ing total freedom from
interference by the autho-*
rities. As suoh their num-
ber is on increase.
The presence of these
people in the hill stations
is very, bad and this
should not be encouraged
we hope the local autho-
rities will take all possible
steps to chuck this.
WATER SCARCITY IN
K ALI MPONG
Since last few days
there is great soaroity of
water in the . town Peo-
ple staying in 2nd & 3rd
floor of the buildings bad
not even a drop of water
since last 2 days while
those leaving on ground
& 1st floor had some
water during night time.
The general public is

The authorities should see
that a regular supply of
water is maintained in
future.

Darjeeling.

licy of Gorkha League

the Congress party for
soma personal gains. He

Garden Labours.
Sri Paul said that the
people of Kerala have voted
the Communist party to
power and the people
there shall have the
chance to see the party's
rule.
Sri Ramashanker Pra-
sad M L A. criticising the
policy of Gongress Go-
vernment asked the peo-
ple to keep guard on the
activities of tf.L.A's who
have been elected by
their votes.
Sri Ratanlall Brah-
min also spoke.
