Cinchona Plantation, Lai.
panohor, P. O. Kurecong,
Dt. Darjeeling, on behalf
of the Governor for the
State of West Bengal,
for outting and carriage
of 150 *Pils\ «aoh 'Pit'
being 5'x6'x2' ft (appro-
ximately 2,600 mds) of
Firewood for the Planta-
tion. The firewood should
oontain topi and bran-
ches of "Sour". "Katus",
"Chilewne", "Panisaj",
"Angara", and similar
other B and C olas* typei
excepting "Toon".

Tha rata per 'PIP
quoted should bo inclu-
sive of all charges (i.e.
outting, carriage from cut-
ting site to the respec-
tive firewood sheds of (he
ataff, piling, payment of
royalty to Forest Deptt.
etc.) and should be com-
pleted within six months
from the date of accep-
tance. The 'Pits' should
be accurate in size and
should be without any
'Kari'. Rotten or burnt
pieces will not be acoep.
ted under any circums-
tances.

An Earnest money
of Re. 50.00 (Rupees Fifty)
only, in cash mast accom-
pany the Tender.

The approved tenderer
will have to exeoute a

opDtraoi in proper form
and 'deposit Seourity
money of R*. 250.00 (Two
hundred fifty) or 10%
of the total amount of
work, whichever is more,
in the Treasury within
fifteen days after accep-
tance of the tender. If
the tenderer, whose tender
has been aooepted, fails
to comply with the fore-
going conditions,, the Gar-
nest Money is liable to
be forfeited to Govern-
ment, the Security Money
deposited by a contractor
is 'liable to be forfeited,
wholly or partially, if
Government suffers any
loss due to negligenoe or
aots of commission or
ommission on the part of
the contractor ' or his em-
ployees in connection with
the work.

WANTED
Applications are invi-
ted from citizens of India
for filling up of two tem-
porary posts of Nepali
Sub-Editor under the
Home (Publicity) Depart-

ment, Govt, of West Ben-
gal. Pay Seal* Rs. 200-
6 290-10 3D0 plus usual
dearness and other admis-
sible allowances. Qualifi-
cations; (i) A degree of
a recognised .university;
an honours degree in Eng-
lish or Nepali and know-
ledge of Bengali would
be desirable; (ii) know-
ledge and experience of
producing original manus-
cript for publicity litera-
ture and press features
in Nepali; ;(iii) knowledge
and experience of trans-
lating from English into
Nepali; (iv) knowledge of
make-up of journals &
illustrated pamphlets -and
reproduction of illustra-
tions and ability to super-
vise productions in the
press; (v) at least two
years' experience of sub-
editing in a newspaper
office and thorough know-
ledge in proof reading.
Age:- between 30 and 40
years (relaxable in case
of .persons already, in Govt,

articles etc will be recei-

Publicity, West Bengal,
Writers' Buildings, Cal-
cutta, upto July 10,-1961.
The candidates will be
required to appear for a
written test & interview
before a Selection Board
at their own cost.
