BLANKET WEAVING FACTORY

The Government of
Wait Bengal has a soheme
to'atart a blanket wea-
ring factory at Siliguri ,
or Kalimpong. As no de-
finite decision has been
taken regarding the locu-
tion of this industry we.
would like to suggest that
the proposed industry
should be set up at Ka-
limpong Due to stop-
page of Indn-Tibet trade,
there is no longer supply
of Tibetan wool and the
wool godawiii in, Kalim-
pong had to close down
one of these godowns can
be utilised for this new
induitry. As for as', the
question of power is - con-
cerned, the problem is
same at Siliguri or Ka-
limpong. Ihis can be
improved at both the
places, bscausefat both the
places at prisent there is
shortage of power supply.
Considering the pre-
sent eoonomio condition
of Kalimpong, it would
be better if this new in-
dustry will be located at
Kalimpong.
