Titian’s picture of the Children's Bacchanal (Madrid) contains motives
closely akin to this print. Moreover numerous drawings of the school of Titian
(for the most part attributed to Domenico Campagnola himself) show similar
groups of dancing children ; e.g. B. M., on the reverse of a study of the Virgin
and Child in clouds, P. p. 2-112 ; several at Chatsworth (Br. 74, 179, 180,
181); another in the collection of Mr. Fairfax Murray (reproduced F. M. Coll.,
1904, No. 62).
