dence this idea is ex-
empiified by means of the
famiiiar thistle, combined
with a modified octagon,
which conveys the Sug-
gestion of the Greek
cross, both of these
adapting readily to the
rigid and vigorous charac-
ter of the giistening white
granite of which the
building is composed.
A spacious vestibuie
leads directly into the main
hall, and from it are entered the various ceremonial
rooms through large well-considered openings.
