BRITISH MUSEUM SERIES.

SITE A.

Tomb 2.—Small tomb with dromos and door.

Bronze. Fibula, with semicircular bow.

Pottery. Plain ware ; ware with groups of concentric circles ; red ware, glazed and unglazed.

Terracotta. Rough horseman, painted black, white, and red, with bullae round the horse's neck. Three lions (very
rough).
Tomb 3.— Pottery. Plain askos (broken).
Tomb 5.— Bronze. Mace-head ; spear-head ; fragment of bowl.

Ivory. Scarabs (Fig. 147, Nos. 1 and 2).

Pottery. Plain rough ware.
Tomb 6.—Two interments mixed together, consisting of a tomb with a dromos, and a plain sarcophagus, adjoining. In the dromos
a cippus A?7yu[?7Tjpi[e] xPVa"r^ xaV£- A piece of the pediment of a stele was re-used for this grave.

Gold. Pair of crescent earrings (PI. XIV, Fig. 5).

Sard. Bead.

Porcelain. Cone : man and stag (Fig. 147, No. 3).

Pottery. Plain ware ; wares with groups of concentric circles, black on red, or buff.
Tomb 7.—Stone built tomb, entered from roof. Dromos and door had been destroyed by stream.

Pottery. Small vases, with concentric circles (Fig. 156, No. 9).
Tomb 8.—Double grave, with stone partition in middle, and large covering stones.
' Gold. Scraps.

Silver. Fibula, with two rings attached (PI. XIV, 30); small ring.

Porcelain. Double bottle, blue, with dark band; fragment in form ot bunch of grapes (Fig. r66, No. 1).
Tomb 10.— Bronze. Fragment.

Pottery. Plain and insignificant.
Tomb 12.— Bronzes. Plain bowls ; fibulae.

SITE B.

Tomb 14.— Pottery. Plates, with circles and cross-hatching ; barrel-shaped jug, with vertical circles ; cantharos with fluted body.
Tomb 15.—Shaft near sea. Cave (7 ft. down) full of sand which could not be cleared.

Pottery. Jug, with birds (Fig. 156, No. n), found in a small niche above the cave.
Tomb 17.—Tomb, near the road, consisting of a cave measuring 13 ft. by n ft., with a door, in a shaft 10 ft. 4 in. deep. Near the
entrance a slab, roughly inscribed 'Ayu#oKAea Z^iwos xp7?0""? Xa'Pe-

Glass. Amphora, dark blue, with white and yellow zigzags. Ht. 3 in. Amphora, with tall neck and twisted handles.
Ht. 4-J- in. Alabastron, white, yellow, and rose. Ht. 3$ in. Fragments of spiral rod ; opaque white glass with
rosettes in relief, etc.

Terracotta. Small dog.
Tomb 18.—Rough cave, near the road, containing small fragments only.

Gems. Small garnet; amethyst; long sardonyx bead.

Glass. Small fragments of coloured glass bottles. Ten white and yellow paste beads.

Pottery. Fragment of Dipylon ware (Fig. 150); plain saucer.
Tomb 21.— Pottery. Plain white oinochoe ; two " cocked-hat" lamps.
Tomb 22.—■ Glass. Small white bottle and fragments.

SITE C.

Tomb 25.—Tomb, near the north slope of the Acropolis.

Silver. Ring, with plain glass paste; seven small spirals.

Bronze. Strigil.

Sard. Long bead.

Porcelain. Egyptian eye. 1. T% in.

Pottery. Many plain vases.

Terracotta. Horseman in primitive style; sacred stone in shrine (Fig. 165, No. 1); cantharos, supported by a
bull (Fig. 165, No. 2).
Tomb 26.—Shallow grave, on a spur to west of site C.

Pottery. Three large vases, two plain, one with concentric circles; small fluted vase.
