During the excavation of the chamber, the gravel walls and the roof of the chamber collapsed burying three
of the workmen—one to his waist, a second to his neck, and a third completely. By the great intelligence of
the foreman, Salman Salim el-Firnisi, the head of the buried man was exposed in a few seconds. In frantic
haste all three were excavated, brought up uninjured in about ten minutes, and the next day they returned
