Young person of 16 or 17, sex undetermined. Epiphyses show no signs of joining. Plundered at
waist and all lower vertebrae broken out. Two of these were found in filling near south wall of
grave over skull at a point 50 cm. above floor. All the rest of skeleton intact. Both hands opened
flat before face, right on left. Some bones in palm of left hand stained green, and very small bits
of malachite were found at this spot. Light brown hair on underside of head, very fine and 6 cm.
long. Parallel to right forearm there lay upon the under matting a straight twig (10) or tree
branch with bark on. 28 cm. long, 1.2 cm. in diameter at south end and 1 cm. at other end. This
smaller end was sharpened to a blunt point, the marks of each slice taken off by the knife being
plainly visible. This was evidently an implement of some kind. Fragments of common coarse
clothing. Fragments of upper matting preserved at knees, Type II, lengthwise. Under matting
preserved back of skull and under legs, also Type II, lengthwise.
