DER NEUEN H EI M Eli.

this honour by sheer merit. In the "Inter-Coll." match he played a
brilliant game and was truly the shining light of our forward line.

--o—-—

We congratulate Sandilands, Aylmer, Lake, Kix, Roberts, Davison I.,
and Cohen upon winning their " First Twenty " caps. They all worked
hard and thoroughly deserve them.

-o--

Our First XV. has been singularly unfortunate this term. In the
early part of the term we had the misfortune to lose two of our former
Captains and Prefects, Currie I. and Fallowfield. Their loss will be
keenly felt, not only on the footer field, but also in the Sports and on the
river.

On Saturday, 18th March, a "Sing-Song" was held in the Speisesaal.
Herr Ullrich, the Captain of tlio Heidelberger Akademisher Sports Klub,
was the guest of the evening. In the course of a long and interesting
speech he referred in glowing terms to the great influence which Neuen-
heim College has had upon sport in South Germany during the sixty odd
years of its existence, and hoped that for another, aye and another sixty
years it would continue to flourish and to hold, with ever-increasing
success, the high position which it has won. Songs were contributed by
Mr. Potter, Herr von Staden, Mr. Nicholls, Brown I, and Dunning ; Mr.
Potter's glee-singers also contributed to the evening's programme. Our
best thanks are due to Mr. and Mrs. Hill for the thoroughly enjoyable
evening which we spent and also to Mr. Jones for the able manner iu
which ho carried out the arduous duties of accompanist.

Our gymnastic classes, conducted by Möns. Prot, have been a great
success this term. The old " Gym" has re-awakened under the new
regime and has now quite an animated appearance.

-o--

The Tennis Season has just begun and the asphalt Courts, which
have undergone a thorough overhauling during the winter months, are
now looking their best. Indeed, so well are they patronised, that it is
even now rather difficult to find a free court during the afternoon.
