the outlet is a smaller aperture in the open mouth of the lion.
The modelling of this lion, and especially of the mane, is
archaic, and the attitude may have been suggested by a
bronze weight. The treatment is throughout careful and
delicate, the hair is represented by line lines stippled in
brown on the clay. Discovered by M. Franrois at Vulci.

a Majnad, remarkable for the freshness of the colours. The
face of the Satyr is painted in vermilion.
