remarkable slate, which is said to be included by belem-
nitiferous (? Lias-) strata, and contains many impres-
sions of plants (substituted by talc) of the true coal-
formation. — Echantillons du schiste très remarquable,
qui d'apres El. de Beaumont etc., est subordonné à des
couches belemnitiféres (? liasiques), mais contient beau-
coup d'empreintes de plantes (substituées par du talc)
caractéristiques de la vraie formation houillère.
