Teatro Tragico.
Bel edilizio che può contenere 5000 spettatori: misura all’interno
68 metri di diametro, è diviso in tre ordini di posti: il primo di 4 gra-
dini pei personaggi più distinti, il secondo di 20 per la borghesia, il
terzo di 4 per la plebe. Decorato di statue e colonne, un velario riparava
gli spettatori dal sole ed un meccanismo speciale faceva cadere una
pioggia artificiale nei giorni di gran caldo.

l’interieur 68 mètres de diamètre et il .est divisé en 3 ordres de places.
Le premier de 4 degrés, pour les personnages le plus distingues, le
second de 20 pour la bourgeoisie, le troisième de 4 pour la populaces.
Décoré de statues et colonnes. Une tente réparait les spectateurs
des rayons du soleil et une mécanisme special fesait tomber, dans les
journées des grands chaleurs, une pluie artificielle.
The Tragic Theatre.
A fine building where 5000 spectators can sit.
The interior has a diameter of 68 metres and is divided in three
different orders of seats-the first of 4 steps reserved to the most emi-
nent persons, the second of 20 steps reserved to the burghership and the
third of 4 steps to the people.
It was originally decorated with statues and columns, and covered
with an awning in order to defend the spectators from the sun rays.
Moreover it was also furnished with a special mechanism which in
hot weather let fall an artificial rain on the spectators.
Trauerspieltheater.
Ein schönes Gebäude das 15000 Zuschauer aufnehmen Kann ; hat in
Innern einen Durchmesser von 68 m. es ist in 3 Plätzereihen geteilt, die
erste mit 4 Stufen für die Vornehmen, die zweite mit 20 Stufen für die
Bürger; die dritte mit 4 Stufen für den Pöbel. Mit Statuen und Säulen
dekoriert, ein Segeltuch schützte die Zuschauer vor der Sonne und eine
besondere Einrichtung liess an den heissen Tagen einen künstlichen Regen
fallen. s
