but more probably there was a reduplicated form Salsalouda: near
Tyana there seems to be a place Pasa or Paspasa, and at Ephesos the
tribe Bennioi or Bembineis occurs (derived from Zeus Benneus Hist.
Geogr. 144, 451)1. T. Flavius Epaphroditus was probably a freedman
of the emperor Titus. It is remarkable how many probable freedmen
occur, see no. 66.

Kkrifxivros bov\os evx.W- [Ti.] Claudius Clemens was probably a freedman
of Claudius; compare in no. 65 T. Flavius Epaphroditus, and no. 32,
T. Flavius Agathemerus and (Ti. ?) Claudius Hermogenes. Were these
agents of the Jisews, looking after the imperial interests in the district ?

after the copy of Sterrett 1883, but with the omission of A-qpr/rplov
Yla-niov (due to the double occurrence of the latter name). In Hogarth
no. 2,6 Ammia, daughter of Bryon, erects the tomb.
