Kazimierz Iwanicki i jego kolekcja miniatur

In the article, the author took advantage, among others, of the “Memories” written
by Kazimierz Iwanicki in 1942, which contains the author s outline of the history of the
Kraków collector movement at the turn of the 19th and in the first half of the 20th cen-
tury; in the above-mentioned outline, Iwanicki describes the beginnings of his passion
and briefly characterizes the set of miniatures making up his collection. The changing
fortunes of Iwanicki s life had been reconstructed, to a large extent, on the basis of the
so far unpublished materials from the Central Army Archives in Warsaw. The article is
accompanied by an annex containing a complete list of miniatures making up the col-
lection, including their catalog numbers as well as the bibliography and details relating
