letter, rests on the top of a cane ; and the left is placed on the hip.

The face is seen in a three-quarter view, with the eyes looking
downwards. She is clothed in an ample blue vesture, which
floats in the air behind her, and is represented as seated on
clouds, with a sceptre in her right hand, and the left placed on
a large globe; a skull lies under her feet. In allusion to these
symbols, the sun’s rays are seen diverging from behind a cloud
in the back-ground.
