65. A Peasant, teaching a pretty young Shepherdess to play
on the pipe ; she is sitting upon a bank on the fore-ground of a
landscape, dressed in a gray neglige and a yellow petticoat, and
wearing a straw hat with feathers ; another man is seated at her
feet, playing on a bag-pipe. The figures are large, and form
the principal objects in the picture.
