him, are fully borne out by comparison between their several

Albert Klomp. Nothing more is known of the life of this
artist, than that he ssourished about the year 1680. An
acquaintance, however, with his works, will convince the
inquirer that the painter frequently aimed, both in compo-
sition and effect, at an imitation of Paul Potter, in both
which he has frequently succeeded.
