Second Prize (Two Guineas): Smoke (Celia M.
Pearson, 39 Wolseley Road. Crouch End, London, N.).

Hon. Mention : Doff (Dorothy M. Bennet); Frintona
(Harold C. Bareham); Ulai (Wm. H. Fry); Fram (Jessie
R. Whyte) ; Beta (Amelia B. Wright); Despair (Dorothy
Marchant); Darnley ,'Geo.C. Monaghan); Inchcape (Miss
J. K. Chapel); Kanlethe (Miss K. D. Butler) ; Kate the
Shrew (K. D. Cowie); N. Lepahc (Helen N. Chapel);
Puss (Miss Eva Babington).

A v. Designs for Mosaic Panels.

The two prizes of Five Guineas each, offered by the
Borough Council of Southwark, have been awarded (subject
to the conditions set forth in the announcement) to Mosaist
(Thomas Adrian Cook, 69 Dacre Road, Upton Manor,
Essex), in respect of two designs submitted by him. The
judges are of opinion that the designs submitted by Aloysious
(Archie Jarvis) and Seint Beneit (J. B. Morrall) are
deserving of Honourable Mention.

A vi. Design for a Chocolate Box Label.

The prize of Five Guineas offered by Messrs. II. J.
Packer & Co., Ltd., in this competition has been awarded
to Et Ultra (V. Rappini, 57 Guilford Street, London, W.C.).
Under the terms of the competition Messrs. Packer & Co.
have elected to purchase designs submitted by Aunt Jane
(E. Norman Lee, 9 Hillmarton Road, Holloway, London);
