Es ist das Ziel der Abteilung, Gestalter
industrieller Produkte heranzubilden. Die
Entwicklung neuartiger Fabrikationsmethoden
hat den Gestalter vor Probleme gestellt,
die sich unter vorwiegend künstlerischen
Gesichtspunkten nicht mehr bewältigen
lassen. Die Ausbildung der Gestalter hat
größeren Nachdruck auf wissenschaftliche
und technologische Disziplinen zu legen, die
heute und in Zukunft die operativen Vor-
gänge in der industriellen Produktion steuern
und die immer stärker das Endprodukt
bestimmen. Der Gestalter von Industrie-
produkten muß heute fähig sein, auf der
Grundlage fachlich fundierter Kenntnisse
und in unmittelbarer Zusammenarbeit mit
Konstrukteuren, Fertigungsingenieuren und
Wirtschaftlern zu arbeiten. Vor allem muß er
in der Lago sein, sich der kulturellen und
gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhänge, in denen
sich seine Tätigkeit vollzieht, bewußt zu
werden.
The purpose of the department is to train
designers of industrial products. The
development of new kinds of methods of
fabrication has faced the designer with
Problems which can no longer be mastered
from previous artistically-based standpoints.
The education of the designer must give
greater emphasis to the scientific and
technological disciplines which now, as they
will in the future, guide the operational
processes in industrial production, and which
ever more critically determine the end
product. Today, the designer of industrial
products must be capable of using the
foundations of professionally-based knowl-
edge for his work, which will be in close
collaboration with constructors, production
engineers, and economists. Above all, he
must be in a Position of awareness of the
cultural and sociological context in which his
activity takes place.
Cette section a pour but de former des
createurs de produits industriels. Les
conceptions exclusivement artistiques ne
suffisent plus au createur pour resoudre
les problemes que pose le developpement
des nouvelles methodes de fabrication.
La formation professionnelle des createurs
doit insister sur l’importance des disciplines
techniques et scientifiques. Ces disciplines
guident les processus operationnels de la
production industrielle, et determinent de
plus en plus l’elaboration du produit fini.
Le createur doit etre en mesure de travailler
de concert avec les Ingenieurs, constructeurs
et economistes, sur les bases de ses
connaissances professionnelles. II doit avant
tout pouvoir prendre conscience de la
Situation sociale et cuiturelle au sein de
iaquelle il accomplit ses faches.
