Verse concordance

The following verse concordance of the Erek manuscripts shows the verse inventory and the relative position of the verses for those sections in which there is parallel text transmission. Consequently, the 'new' fragments and those parts of manuscript A without extant parallel transmission are not included. About the principles see Fernández Riva / Millet 2022, as well as Pérez Ben / Millet / Fernández Riva 2024. A vertical line means that the verse is missing without material loss. The beginning and end of manuscript lacunae or of fragments are marked by an asterisk in the line before or after them. The three dots in column A indicate that before or after them manuscript A contains de regular text, but without parallel textual transmission.

The identification of verses follows the standard numbers set in the edition by Leitzmann / Gärtner 2006. However, the files have also an alternative numbering that strictly follows the manuscript; it can be selected in the display options menu.

Each additional or completely changed verse is given a complementary number consisting of the number of the preceding standard verse, a comma and a sequential additional number. A verse is considered 'different' when it differs in all its components from the corresponding verse in manuscript A. Additional verses always have their own row in the table. To highlight verse transpositions, we mark them in colour. Additionally, we also mark with colours the substitution of a rhymeword or the exchange of rhymewords within the couplet.
