KAEADASH—AYAS.
As the heat of the weather encreased, so
did a dense white haze, that was extremely
embarrassing to our operations. From
the time of our quitting the Syhoon, till
we reached the cliffs of Karadash, a dis-
tance of twenty-six miles, it cleared
away but twice, so as to afford even a
momentary glimpse of the mountainous
interior.
