lines on pale red ground. Imitation of early style.

Lower part of nude male figure moving to 1., followed by another figure, of
whom only one hand and foot are visible.

F 513. OINOCHOE. Old No. C. 123. Ht. 6] in. Benghazi, 1S67. Drab ware; design

rudely painted in black. High cylindrical neck, with handle bent at a right angle ; very flat
body.

Four wreaths and taeniae suspended from fibulae, alternating with a magadis,
an oval-shaped object (apparently a frame with net-work or wooden cross-pieces),
and an oinocho'c of the same shape as the vase itself.

palmettes.
