7. Tadeusz Kuntze (Konicz), Miracle of St John

Drawings:

A total of 494 drawings from the XVII to the XX century were acquired. Among the most va-
luable are : Antonio Moro, Glorification of Hercules; Marcello Bacciarelli, Portrait of a lady;
Piotr Michałowski, Study of a horse; Aleksander Gierymski, Rybaki Street (Fig. 8); Stanisław
Noakowski, Interior of a palące (fig. 9); Jacek Malczewski, Death of Elenai; a batch of drawings
by Józef Pankiewicz (sketches, studies, sketchbooks); a batch of drawings by Józef Tom.

Graphic art:

A few hundred objects of graphic art were acquired, among which prints of P. Testa, J. Danieli,
P. Picasso (gift of H. Kahnweiler), F. Krawczenko (gift of the wife of the artist), F. Hatz (gift
of the artist), J. Tom, E. Bartlomiejczyk.

P o s t e r s :

2185 posters by Polish artists were aquired. Among them: World championship iń ice hokey (1931)
by Osiecki and Skolimowski; also projects of posters by H. Tomaszewski, J. Pałka, J. Mroszczak,
R. Cieślewicz, which won awards at the First International Biennale of Posters, held in Warsaw
in 1966.
