Bernard of November 2, 1988 wrote that he had in his room in Arles two
studies of falling leaves by van Gogh.66
The third masterpiece sold by Zapolska to Bernheim Jr. was a smali oil
study on wood by Georges Seurat, Female Nudę Viewed from Behind (ill. 3).67
