certainly a good deal cheaper” (ANDERSON 1919, 173).
Rhodes expressed similar thoughts (according to SNELSON 1974, 97) to the
first woman missionary of the Brethren in Christ, H. F. Davidson. Ander-
son also reported that the Administrator, based in Kalomo and distant from
African villages, advised him to move nearer to Chief Monze to observe, and
