TRIBAL EDUCATION
FUND

I learn from Sm .Sav-i-
. tri Devi,- Member of the
■ Tribal 'Advisory Council of
W, I! of tuition fees to
the Scheduled Tribes.stu-'
dents is in fulfilment of a
desire cherished by the
Minister in-charge of Tribal
Welfare that he would
make seetindary education
free to all tribal students
of the State,

So long as this can-
not be done the institu-
tion of the Tribal Educa-
tion Fund has h en desig-
ned to serve the same
purpose. Accordingly, it
has been decided that the
Fund is to be utilised
primarily for the giving
of tuition fees to students
upto School Final stage.

The balance, if, any,
may be spent on stipends,

.Seven

boarding charges and exa-
mination fees etc. Stu-
dents of higher stages
should invariably be direc-
ted to avail themselves
of the Government of
India Scholarships -which
are granted on a very
liberal scale.

The Minister desires,
however, that pupils whose
parents are in a position
to pay.- the tuition fees
of their children may for
. the present bo excluded-
froin this scheme. ,

Answer in Next Week’s hsue

LAST WEEK’S ANSWER,—A
GREEDY PIG.

As no outside impulse
acted on the truck, the
total momentum of truck
all til t it carried must be
the same after the pig
started to run as it was.
before. Now, The Fig's
momentum was greater than
it had been before, and,
therefore, the truck’s was
less. Hence, the speed of
the truck would be dimini
shed by the pig's impul-
sive act. ■
