ABDUS^ATTAR OPENS
LABOUR CENTER

Siliguri, Jan. 22
Shri A I) In- Sattar,
Minister for Labour,
Government of West
Bengal opened the Labour
Welfare Centre at Madati
in Siliguri Sub division on
19th init. The function
which included a pro-
gramme of sport, parti
cipated by the workers
of the nearby Tea gardens
attracted large crowds
from the far flung areas
of the Subdivision Shri
Sattar in his address
explained about the mea-
sures taken by Govern-
ment and the need of
suoh centre for welfare
of the labourers. He
wished that the labourers
nhould visit the centre
and take aotive interest
in different reoreations
provided in the oentre.
He mentioned that the
labourers should avail of
the training facilities in
regard to htndiorafta
provided at the centre
by which they could
supplement their income
it well meet their own
requirements in leisure
time Ho further desi-

taken by the manage,
ments and the labourers
in the m\nufaoture of
tea so that the commodi-
ty reach the market in
proper shape and quality
to keep the reputation

NEPAL COMMUNISTS'
DECLARATION
Kathmandu. Jan. 20
The Nepal Commu-
nist Party stated to-day
that it did not want an
inch of Chinese territory,
nor would it allow an
iooh of Nepalese territory
to an to Chinese or any
other country, The party'*
spokesmen. Mr- Fuleilal
Amatya, told a Press
conference that he did
not think China would
trespass into Nepal.

IN NEPAL

Mr. 8. P. Upadhyaya,
Nepal Home Minister,
■aid here today that
Chinese troops bad not
come to the Nepal bor-
der or crossed into Nepal,
territory at any known
point.

ference to a correspondent
who drew bis attention
to the reported statement
of the Gorkha Parishad
leader, Mr. Bbarat Shem-
iher, that China had
committeed aggression on
Nepal.

"Mr. Bharat Sbaro-

he *aid. "Until now the
Chinese have not come
to the toil of Nepal:" ' '

Mr. Upadhayaya laid
the Nepal Government
was "quit* vigilant" over
the border. "It is a good
thing to be vigilant, to
remain on gnard and
alert, but to oreate a
scare and panio among
the people is positively
not deiirable," he added.
